Following extensive attempts to negotiate with the two main conference venues in central Athens, we have decided not to go ahead with an event in Athens.
Our most recent negotiations came to an end early this year when the state-managed venue, after four months of assuring us that the venue was available and our proposal would be approved by the venue Board, contacted us to announce that the venue was closing for 2 years of emergency renovations.
As a result, we are moving this event to 2027 and will be holding our event in a different country.
While we, as a company and as founders of this event, regret the decision to end our engagement with Athens, the lack of large-scale venues and the significant exceptions to standard venue management mean that we can no longer continue to engage in a process which bring suboptimal results.
