
Nikos Anastasiou
Nikos is a highly qualified project manager with extensive experience in managing large-scale development, concession and PPP projects in Greece, SE Europe and the former Soviet Union.
He was formerly District Operations Manager of the Hellenikon Olympic Games Complex and member of the Main Operations Center of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Following this, he was Managing Director of KION ATE, a specialised project management firm involved in the development of major transportation, port and airports projects (road infrastructure, airports, marinas & ports), energy (wind parks, photovoltaic parks, thermal power stations) and commercial and residential property (offices, shopping malls & retail, exhibition & conference centres, residential projects, and others).
From 2011 – 2015, Nikos was on the Supervisory Board of the Northern Capital Gateway, responsible for Development. This is an international consortium comprising VTB Capital, Fraport AG Company, the leading worldwide operator of the airports and Greek investment group Copelouzos. The main priority was the re-development of Pulkovo Airport, including building of the new international passenger terminal; realization of the modernization of the Pulkovo-1 passenger terminal; re-construction and building of the technical airport objects; and development of the commercial infrastructure. Additionally, as Managing Director of Copelouzos Group Concessions, he participated in some of the major, transformational projects taking place in Greece.
From 2009 to 2015, Nikos was an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Expo, a large-scale expo centre awarded as a concession by the Athens International Airport, as well as Managing Director of its subsidiary Metropolitan Evenets. Each year, Metropolitan holds more than 35 exhibitions and conferences, resulting in at least 500,000 visitors.
Since 2015, Nikos has founded his own firm, Red Cube Ltd., that operates in various industries of both the private and public sector, providing both business development and program/project management services. He also plays a greater role in the development and financing of innovative projects for startups and scaleups.
