Remote Position Supporting European Small Business Innovation

Caribou Digital is actively recruiting a part-time Insights Analyst to join the Mastercard Strive EU initiative, a program dedicated to enhancing the resilience and growth of small businesses across Europe. This remote role, open to candidates within UTC to UTC+3 time zones, extends through October 2025 and reports directly to the Insights Lead.


About Mastercard Strive EU

In collaboration with the European Microfinance Network, Mastercard Strive EU focuses on empowering European small businesses by introducing innovative solutions that facilitate access to capital, digital integration, and expanded networks. The program encompasses an Innovation Fund, awarding grants up to €500,000 to ten organizations developing digital and data-driven tools for small enterprises. These solutions aim to:

  1. Unlock working capital and credit through embedded finance.

  2. Enhance digital security by strengthening cybersecurity measures.

  3. Navigate evolving consumer preferences and regulatory expectations concerning environmental sustainability.

  4. Utilize artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and profitability.


Role Responsibilities

The Insights Analyst will play a pivotal role in generating and disseminating evidence-based insights to inspire action among stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Research and Synthesis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and gather information from Innovation Fund recipients to pinpoint key themes.

  2. Content Development: Create engaging content—including articles, case studies, opinion pieces, interviews, videos, and reports—that resonates with policymakers, business leaders, and ecosystem participants.

  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with innovation fund winners, technical experts, and policymakers to generate insights and gather feedback on content.



Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in insights and research roles, with a focus on entrepreneurship, small business growth, digital innovation, sustainability, or climate action. Exceptional writing skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights are essential. Familiarity with EU regulatory environments is advantageous.
