
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is inviting applications for its six-month traineeship programme set to start in early 2025. This programme offers recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an EU body dedicated to fostering innovation across Europe.
About the EIT
Established in 2008, the EIT is an independent EU entity aimed at enhancing Europe's innovation capacity. By integrating business, education, and research, the EIT creates dynamic partnerships known as Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) to address pressing societal challenges.
Traineeship Details
Duration: Six months, with a possibility of extension under exceptional circumstances.
Start Date: Early 2025.
Location: Primarily at EIT Headquarters in Budapest, Hungary. For the Communication & Engagement Unit, there is a possibility for one trainee to be based at the EIT Liaison Office in Brussels, Belgium.
Departments
Director's Office, Legal Section & Administration Unit: Involvement in administrative tasks, legal research, and support across finance, procurement, HR, IT, and general administration.
Innovation & Education, Communication & Engagement: Assisting in strategy development, managing KICs, enhancing EIT’s visibility, and organizing events.
Knowledge and Innovation Communities: Supporting grant compliance, funding allocation, and monitoring KICs’ progress.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Open to nationals of EU Member States, EEA, EFTA, candidate countries, and a limited number from other countries.
Education: Completion of the first cycle of university education with a full degree.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).

Deadline: 14 February 2025 (13:00 CET).

Required Documents: Copies of diplomas, language proficiency proof, and, if applicable, certified translations.
Benefits:
Monthly Grant: €1,466.98 for positions in Budapest and €1,701.83 for positions in Brussels.
Travel Allowance: A fixed grant to assist with travel expenses between the place of recruitment and place of employment.
Insurance: Trainees are required to arrange their own sickness and accident insurance coverage.
