Young European Entrepreneur Award: Supporting Innovation

The Young European Entrepreneur Award (YEEA) highlights Europe's most promising young entrepreneurs. Launched in 2023 as a pilot project by the European Parliament and managed by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs (DG GROW), the award aims to foster innovation and support small businesses across various sectors.

A Platform for Growth and Recognition

YEEA serves as a business pitching competition that provides young entrepreneurs with an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their ventures, gain media exposure, and access tailored business support. The competition aims to identify Europe’s brightest minds, offering them essential resources to scale their startups and drive impact.


What Finalists Receive

- Tailored Business Support: The 10 selected finalists will gain access to a customized pre-incubation/acceleration program valued at up to EUR 20,000, including expert coaching and training in pitching and business development.

- Exclusive Media Exposure: Participants will receive dedicated media coverage, amplifying their entrepreneurial journey and innovations.

- Networking at Europe's Leading Industry Events: Finalists will be invited to EU Industry Days and the SME Assembly, connecting them with industry leaders, investors, and policymakers.

- Travel Sponsorship: The organizers will fully cover travel expenses for the top five finalists, ensuring they can focus on their participation.


Timeline of the Award

20 January – Applications Open

14 March – Application Deadline

28 April – Announcement of Top 10 Finalists

5–9 May – Coaching Sessions for Finalists

14 May – Online Pitching Event & Selection of the Final Five

5 June – Final Pitch & Award Ceremony at EU Industry Days in Rzeszów, Poland


Awards & Recognition

Top Three Winners will receive additional media exposure, promotional support, and an all-expenses-paid trip to the SME Assembly in Denmark (November 2025).

Grand Prize Winner will be honored with a prestigious YEEA trophy, symbolizing innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.


Eligibility Criteria

Open to entrepreneurs aged 18–40, who are EU citizens and own at least 51% of an SME (less than 5 years old).

Businesses must address a societal, environmental, or economic challenge and demonstrate innovation and scalability.
